Our Story
Surf Coast Refrigeration was built on a simple belief — customers deserve honest advice from someone who genuinely knows the trade.
Founded by Stuart Hayes in 2021, Surf Coast Refrigeration combines more than 25 years of hands-on refrigeration and air conditioning experience with old-school customer service and practical problem solving.
Stu’s a local through and through — fixing fridges, keeping businesses running and waving at half of Torquay between jobs.
Alongside his wife Nic, daughters Cocoa, Jorja and Paris, and dogs Ranger and Gypsy riding around in the back of the ute, Surf Coast Refrigeration is very much a family-run local business built on genuine relationships and good service.
With experience across refrigeration, air conditioning and hospitality, Stu understands what customers actually need: fast service, reliable repairs and someone who turns up when they say they will.
From family fridges to busy cafés and commercial cool rooms, the approach stays the same — show up, sort it out properly and look after people along the way.
